The reason why Jigga, Ri & B did NOT show up to the 2010 BET Awards...
So word on the streets is that Jay-Z, Rihanna and Beyonce did NOT show up or perform at the BET Awards this year is because Chris Brown not only was there, but he ALSO was allowed the opportunity to do the Michael Jackson Tribute. He broke down on stage during his performance, and it made me cry! Before MJ passed, he even said how much he liked Chris Brown so I am very happy he was able to pay homage!
After him being black-balled by the industry for a whole year, I feel like everyone deserves a second chance. I know from working the Awards last year, it was a lot of crap being talked about him performing. Some wanted it, and some didn't! People need to stop pointing fingers. We don't know the real story which still doesn't justify anything, but if she really did give CB something he can't get rid of, he should have given her more than just a 2 piece wit' a buscuit!!! I'm just sayin'!
If you missed the performance, here it is here:
YOU ROCKED IT CHRIS BROWN!!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Michael Jackson's "This Is It" performs like a "Concert Film" - HUGE SUNDAY SHOW!

"This Is It" continues to throw all the old rules about concert movies out the window.
Domestic ticket sales for the Michael Jackson movie totaled $8.3 million on Sunday, nearly $2 million more than the $6.3 million Sony Pictures projected Sunday morning and 17% more than the movie grossed on Saturday. The movie's total domestic gross is now $34.4 million, making the worldwide number $103 million.
Concert movies traditionally see ticket sales decline rapidly after they premiere, as avid fans who turn out on opening day make up most of the audience. But "This Is It" grossed more on Sunday than any day since it debuted, a sign that word-of-mouth is strong and moviegoers who initially may have been hesitant are turning out. There also may be repeat viewing, which is often the case for concert films.
If the trend continues, "This Is It" should enjoy a relatively modest decline next weekend, and what initially looked like a middling domestic performance may actually turn into a pretty good one, albeit not nearly as big as overseas. That's where Jackson is really cleaning up.

Dancing With The Stars Honors Michael Jackson

On Tuesday (October 20), "Dancing With the Stars" featured a performance by Norah Jones and the elimination of Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin and her partner, Alec Mazo. But the real highlight of the night came when the show's professional dancers took time out of their busy competing schedules to pay tribute to Michael Jackson, who had a tremendous influence on dance culture during his career.
Host Tom Bergeron noted that throughout the show's four-year history, Jackson's songs have been used by the contestants 17 times. Pro dancer Louis van Amstel reflected on Jackson's influence: "It's really important to do this tribute because he pretty much opened doors, and I thank him for opening doors for all of us."
Mark Ballas loved channeling Jackson the several times he danced to his tunes on the show. "It just felt so great to dance to MJ songs and feel his moves," he said. "He's just an inspiration to all of us. He will be missed."
"He gave the world so much happiness and joy, and his music will live forever," fellow dancer Kym Johnson added.
As several Jackson family members sat in the audience, including Jackson's mom, Katherine, and siblings Jermaine and La Toya, the dancers took the stage to pay a special ballroom tribute to the late superstar. "Michael Jackson was a major loss to the entertainment community 'cause he inspired them to step up," Jermaine said in a pre-taped interview. "It just wasn't about the movement, it was about the feeling. There will only be one Michael Jackson forever."
"Michael liked all kinds of choreography. He liked 'Dancing With the Stars,' " La Toya revealed. "He was a fan of the show."
Dancer Karina Smirnoff noted that his influence was far-reaching. "He influenced not only dancing itself, but choreography. We lost not only an icon, but we lost the father of dance and choreography," she said.
La Toya introduced the tribute in a royal-blue gown, noting that her brother would be proud to see his legacy live on. The dancers, decked out in MJ garb, including short pants, white socks, single white gloves, red leather jackets and sparkles, kicked things off with the vintage Jackson 5 hit "I Want You Back."
They then slowed the pace down a bit with "Man in the Mirror," performing it as a very fluid ballroom dance mixed with ballet. Then came one of MJ's most iconic dance moments as the group danced to "Thriller," even reenacting the famous zombie dance moves from the video.
Dancer Cheryl Burke, who left the show after her partner, Tom DeLay, was injured earlier in the season, returned for the big tribute. In the days leading up to the show, she gushed to MTV News about the chance to honor her hero on "DWTS."
"He was a huge influence for me in my dancing career," she said. "I think a lot of us professional dancers can say the same. So we're really excited about it. ... 'Thriller' is one of my favorites of all time."
Don't miss "Michael Jackson's This Is It" Premiere Special, airing on MTV and VH1 on Tuesday, October 27 at 8:30 p.m. ET! "Michael Jackson's This Is It" opens in a limited engagement on October 27 and wide on October 28.

Michael Jackson - DANG!!!! This IS REALLY IT!!!!

Would you believe that fans are already lining up to get their tickets for Michael Jackson's "This Is It" Movie Premiere which premieres to the "special ones" on October 27th 2009 in theatres?! Some people really do go to extreme measures I guess. There is already a crowd around the Staples Center which is the ONLY PLACE you can pick up your commemorative tickets! This man was greatly adored! But I don't know about camping out from Thursday until Sunday with NO SHOWER or TEETH BRUSHING for that long! YUCK!!! They are only giving out 500 so get down there NOW! There are about 100 people already waiting!
The movie will be based on footage from concert rehearsals before his death in June. It will also have simultaneous premieres in more than 15 cities around the world next month, the studio behind the film said on Monday.
"This Is It" opens to the general public on Oct. 28 for a limited two-week run.
While Hollywood movies often have several premieres around the world, they rarely happen at the same time. But for "This Is It," more than 15 cities, including New York, Rio de Janeiro, London, Berlin and Seoul will host simultaneously premieres with a red carpet event in Los Angeles on Oct. 27, said Sony Pictures, which paid $60 million for rights to the rehearsal footage. Names of the other premiere-night cities were not released.
The opening events will feature satellite transmissions of Hollywood stars arriving at the premiere in Los Angeles. London's premiere will happen after midnight local time on Oct. 28, while Seoul's event is scheduled for the morning of that day.
In all, more than 25 cities worldwide will have premieres for the movie but not all will take place at the same time. In the days before he died of an overdose of prescription drugs on June 25, Jackson was rehearsing for a comeback with 50 sold-out shows in London.
The $60 million movie deal was made between Jackson's estate and concert promoter AEG Live and Sony Pictures. Based on proceeds from the movie, business deals and album sales that have arisen since Jackson's death, administrators of his estate expect to generate more than $200 million in revenue before the end of the year.
That's some BIG BUCKS RIGHT THERE & DO GO BOOTLEGGIN' MY MAN'S "ISHT"!!!!
