The History of Halloween

October 31st is the most important day in the SATANIC year. It marks the Celtics New Year. It was the end of the growing season. It became a festival of death. On this day the god of the Celtics was to have called up the spirits of the wicked dead who had died during the past year. At the same time other evil spirits arose and went about the countryside harassing the people. On October 31st , the Celtics expected to be harassed by ghosts, evil spirits, demons, etc., and it was NOT funny. They would light bonfires to guide the spirits to their own town and to ward OFF EVIL SPIRITS.

The Irish and Scottish immigrants brought these customs from the British Isles to this country. Where our founding fathers agreed that “In GOD we trust” and we pledged “One nation unto GOD”. However, we allow by agreement and participation, that the devil and his followers can force us to become a part of this pagan worship. THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!!!

They had satanic priests called DRUIDS. On October 31st the druids went from house to house demanding certain foods, and all those who refused were cursed. The people were tormented by means of magic (witchcraft). As they went, they carried large turnips on which they had hallowed out and carved demon faces as charms. Each one believed to contain the DEMON spirit that personally led or guided that priest – his little god.

Those who practiced fortune telling and divination found that this was the night that they had the most success. They called upon Satan to bless their efforts. One form of divination was to put apples in a tub and bob for them. The one who first successfully came up with one, without putting them in his teeth was to have good luck throughout the year. They would peel the apples and throw the peelings over their shoulders and then quickly look around. They expected to see a vision or an apparition of the one they would marry.

These things happened several centuries before CHRIST sacrifices were made to gods, especially the god of death Sam Hain (pronounced Sah Win). Sacrifices all the way from vegetables to HUMAN were and are still today being offered. Children are conceived to be born during the Halloween season. They are used in satanic practices as sacrifices. Their mothers must participate and if they refused, they were killed along with the child they just delivered.

In the 8th century the Pope, in an effort to get the people to quit the festival of Sam Hain, invented All Saints Day; November 1st was intended to honor the martyrs of the Roman persecutions. I wonder why All Saints Day was the day after and NOT October 30th, if GOD had been first, as He commanded, perhaps this pagan worship day would not have the impact it has today. IT IS NOT JUST A DAY KIDS HAVE UN, PARTY, EAT CANDY. PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, EVERY RACE are affected in a negative way. It NEVER works to try and Christianize a pagan holiday. HALLOWEEN IS A PAGAN HOLIDAY.

There is no such thing as Hollyween. No church can celebrate this pagan holiday and make it pleasing to GOD, who created the heavens and earth for His glory, His honor. THE PEOPLE OF GOD SHOULD NOT CELEBRATE THIS DAY AT ALL. The Holy and the profane don’t mix!!!

In the Middle Ages there was a great revival of satanic practices and witchcraft and magic – like there is today. During this time the belief developed that witches traveled on broomsticks to the black Sabbaths to worship Satan on October 31st. they were guided by spirits in the form of black cats. (Today most pet shops WILL NOT sell black cats during the month of October). The druid’s worshiped black cats, believing them to be reincarnated EVIL PEOPLE.

This festival of death has survived all the efforts of the church to stamp it out. INSTEAD of the church praying and not becoming a part of Halloween, at all, the church has joined in. How you say? By having a Holyween party, having their children dress as bible characters, etc.

The Devil has been very successful in invading Christian holidays. Halloween is different, we, the Christians are invading Satan’s day. It has ALWAYS been satanic, evil and deadly. He has deluded the Christians into celebrating his festival. Do you really believe that GOD IS PLEASED?

All Saints Day became All Hallows Day. When the festival came to the Western world it was called All Hallows Evening. All Hallows evening became All Hallows een, finally, today it is Halloween. NOW look at modern HALLOWEEN. Isn’t the whole theme darkness, feat, threat, destruction, EVIL?

Witches, broomsticks, bats, owls, ghosts, skeletons, death, monsters; WE allow our children to be dressed as witches, ghosts, monsters, werewolves, bats and send them out into the darkness. They are sent out to reenact the Druids Priest and to practice demanding food from people under the threats of tricks or treat. What happened to “Train up a child in the way it should go?Turnips are no longer used, in this country and most of the world today, pumpkins are carved to look like demons. The candle that is placed in the pumpkin is suppose to light the way for the demon spirit to come to the house of the person who displays it in their window.

Some purchase tickets to go to haunted houses, fright night at amusement parks, play with Ouija boards, bob for apples and at the same time human sacrifices are being made; they also sacrifice dogs, cats, rats, chickens and goats.

You say, “Well we don’t take it seriously, we don’t want Christian children and young adults to feel left out”. God says “Come out from amount them, you will be separate, says the Lord”. The Devil takes it seriously and so does God. Particularly when the church, which has been purchased with the precious blood of JESUS, builds a house of horror in it’s fellowship halls so that the little lambs, who have been entrusted to us can be terrified and opened up to the invading spirits of fear, torment and confusion. HOW THIS MUST GRIEVE THE LORD!!!!

You do not have to perish for lack of knowledge. CHRISTIANS CHOOSE THIS DAY; WHICH GOD WILL YOU SERVE!!!!AND THE WORD OF GOD SAYS…

A presto!

ONE LIFE ONE CHANCE

"With today’s increase in alcohol and drug use among youth, Toby’s message of living a healthy lifestyle and still being cool and respected is one that needs to be heard.

Purpose: To inform elementary and secondary students about cool alternatives to alcohol and drugs and having a positive mental attitude.

Objective: To break stereotypes of what it means to live a cool lifestyle. Heavily-tattooed recording artist and front man of H2O for 15yrs, Toby Morse defies stereotypes of a musician’s lifestyle. In an industry famous for drug use, drug-related deaths and overall self-destructive behavior, Toby chose a different path to walk. In his 40 years, he has never experimented with alcohol, tobacco or drugs. Toby travels to schools, speaking to students about his positive lifestyle despite growing up around drugs and alcohol."

It's so good to see such a positive organization being spoken to our youth! One Life One Chance got that PMA!!! www.onelifeonechance.com

Hong Kong Airport

Here again, relaxing in the Cathay lounge known as the 'Wing' listening to Louis B. Armstrong piped through the wall speakers. Just finished my first Dan Dan Noodle of the season. I don't know if Dan Dan Noodles have a season, but when I am traveling in China then that is the season. The first thing I did when I arrived was have a hot shower to freshen up, then eat, check e-mail and telephone. Yes, it is a routine.

The food on the flight out of NY was good and the staff wonderful as usual. However, one of my fears was realized. I had seen most of the movies that were offered. I found some things to watch and was pleasantly surprised by some and had to turn off others. All in all it worked out. I am still not used to the new business class seats and didn't really sleep much at all. The coffin space is really confining and completely unforgiving if you are not of a certain body size range. Outside of that range and you are screwed.

As of tomorrow I will be using the alternate Travel Blog while in China. You know, because of those Google issues: Jeff on the Road.

P.S. So far I have not had any bites from bed bugs. What a refreshing change in quality of life.

Hong Kong Bound

It is time once again to travel east (actually north over the pole) to Hong Kong. I have upgraded my standard coach seating with Asia Miles and will be flying Business Class. The seat will be larger although my shoulders will touch the walls of the coffin like designed cubicle. The seat fully reclines into a horizontal configuration allowing me to extend my feet into the aisle tripping the flight attendants in the dark - oh yes, it gets very dark on those flights. The monitor will be bigger, the food will be noticeably better than coach, and the attendants are very pleasant and willing to get you what ever is needed. It is very important to bring your own noise reduction headphones. This is even more important than flying business class. Once you have tried flying with them you will wonder why you didn't do it before. The greatest invention since flight itself. I use Bose headphones but there are others.

The only real fear (other than the obvious) is that the movies offered for viewing will be films I have already seen on other recent flights. Cathay does try and show some films only on east bound flights and other films only on west bound flights. I do intend to sleep as much as possible, something I don't do easily on planes except if they are sitting on the tarmac or taxing prior to take-off. I do like to sleep through the take-off. Jolted from a sound sleep I realized I was just paged by the front desk at the lounge and that I had been fast asleep. Actually I had been sleeping for a full hour with the computer in my lap. Last night was a late one with only an hours sleep. This was done on purpose to help get into the Chengdu time change as quickly as possible. It is likely that I will sleep right through breakfast on the plane unless I tell them to wake me - which I will.

Boy Believed to be Next Reincarnation....

I thought this was really fun: Boy Believed to be Next Reincarnation.....

Whenever great cultures of the past, for example, Egyptian, Roman, or European Monarchies, start to look towards 'special' children as the divine answer for leadership and cultural guidance then more often than not that culture is heading towards decline and failure.

The increase and frequency of young children from Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhist backgrounds (not to mention Western countries) - recognized as the supposed incarnation of so and so - is surely becoming alarming.

The Tibetan Buddhist phenomenon of tulku or trulku appears to have really become common place and widespread in the 17th century. The practice of recognizing a lama of the past as reincarnating into numerous individuals (splitting) appears to be a late 19th century phenomena - embraced and welcomed in the 20th century - popular today.

I think it is time for a level headed, measured, sociological study of the Tibetan practice of 'reincarnate teachers' known as tulku - literally 'emanation body' - the same word used for the Sanskrit word nirmanakaya.

1. What are the statistics showing the number of recognized incarnate children growing up to be educated Buddhist teachers?

2. What are the statistics showing the number of children that grow up to be teachers?

3. What are the statistics showing the number of children that remain Buddhist?

4. How many renounce their 'reincarnate status'?

4. How many take up business, or other secular occupations, as their life path?

5. .....convicted of crimes, etc.?

These are just a few of the basic questions which I think are fair game and worth asking.

The most interesting publication I have ever read on the subject of reincarnate Lamas was by Daniel Barlocher. I recommend it highly. The most interesting interviews come from the most unexpected Rinpoches. Testimonies of Tibetan Tulkus; A Research among Reincarnate Buddhist Masters in Exile. Daniel Barlocher, Opuscula Tibetana, Rikon-Zurich, August 1982.

From the dozens of interviews see two excerpts from the above publication: Puntsok Podrang Dagchen Rinpoche and another conversation with Drolma Podrang Sakya Trizin both of the Sakya Tradition. I chose these only because they are currently available on line.

Sade rejects music collaboration with the Jigga Man!

Though music fans in the United States mainly remember Sade for her "Smooth Operator" music video, she is the best-selling female artist in the U.K. With such status comes certain privileges, including turning down Jay-Z and other rappers when they come calling for her to sing hooks on their songs:
“I'm too scared they'll find me out. It's like The Wizard of Oz. They'll find out there's nothing there. As for collaborations, I'm collaborating with the band and do what we do. I see myself as a member of this band who does these songs that we write.”

It's awesome that Sade is willing to stay true to her band in the age of the quick buck, but the amount of psychic damage she's inflicting to the hip-hop community cannot be overlooked. Imagine the amount of MCs tossing and turning at night, worrying that somebody is eventually going to come up with the right combination to get Sade singing a chorus. A sample is one thing, but a genuine appearance is something to lose a little sleep over. The winner of this battle can dub himself "The Smoothest Operator." Who wouldn't want that?

This article was written by: Mike Burr and I was just sharing it! = )

Hmmm.... Jay'z ego must be a little tender I would imagine.

The video was directed by Ray Kay.

Willow will perform her single in front of a live audience at The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, November 2! She is such a cutie!

Kanye West's Album cover was banned???

Word tweets is that that rapper Kanye West is claiming his record label banned the cover art for his upcoming album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
“Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Ima tweet it in a few…” West tweeted Sunday night.
Two hours later he posted a link to his proposed album cover…a painting of himself hooking up with an armless, tailed lady. (Huh!?)

West continued to argue for the cover, writing “Banned in the USA!!! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix! In the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that.”

An anonymous representative for West’s label, Island Def Jam, told the Los Angeles Times that the label strongly urged him to consider a different cover, but told him if he wanted to use his proposed cover, “the label would stand behind him.”
According to the source, the label’s issue was that mass-market retailers like Best Buy and Walmart could decide not to stock the album due to the cover. On Twitter, West was less concerned.

“In all honesty … I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers,” he wrote.

“My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” is set to be released on Nov. 22.

All I have to say is, it looks kinda demonic... Waaaaaaaay WEIRD!

News Update!

Hello all my ghoulie fiends!!..I just thought today I would take some time out to give everyone a little update on how things are going. Seeing I haven't been able to post to much new stuff lately...sorry for that folks.

So for starts I am working on a short story for issue#2 of McHozer Comics Deadmen & Poodleskirts! My short in this issue is called Die Baby! for those who may not know I worked on issue #1, The story I did for that one was called Dead Menace which can be bought on Indyplanet.com, now back to the Die Baby! short...it's coming close to and end,I only have a few more pages to ink and one page left to draw been a hell of a fun project and i'm very happy with how the pages look! I will let you all know when it's done and printed!

Midnight Spookshow!,MS is going to be a horror anthology series but in a more magazine size format packed with extras which I can't talk to much about right now. It once was under the name Tales Of Dusk, but I have gone back to the drawing more so to speak and revamping it all up and it will be a mature rated series without a doubt. What I can tell you is that it will be sort of like the old Tales From The Crypt and Creepy comics both of which I am a huge fan of. The first tale in Issue#1 is called "Trespassers Will Be Slaughtered" I don't want to give to much detail away about the story but just think of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Wrong Turn series of horror movies..in this story a classic slasher is born! Right now for that story i'm still doing some writing and sketches and also have the first couple pages planned out for the story. I hope to have teasers up as soon as possible. Issue#1 will be a jumbo packed full of extras and will have 2-4 tales depending on the size of the stories and cost seeing i'm doing this indy style on my own with a little bit of help, unless a publisher wants to help me outAlso for tale one of MS I am also in the works on working up a short film screenplay for Trespassers Will Be Slaughtered which is alot of fun keeps me busy as hell though.

I am also going over the idea of doing a Art Of TypH sketch book with all my horror movie sketches and some other horror sketches! also thinking about doing up some horror sketch cards for commission and maybe some prints and posters if they would sell. Let me know what you think folks!

Hope you all have a great October and a great Halloween!! don't let the ghouls get to you kiddies!

For any of you who want up to date post on everything i'm doing, I now have a facebook fanpage! which you can all check out at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Art-Of-TypH/139885726039427 (just let me know if the link does not work)

Back to New York!

My work here in Vancouver is done, Thanksgiving, closing up the cabin for the winter and attending my brother's 20 year clean and sober celebration - in the company of a hundred others. There are no upgrades tonight. I am in coach on Cathay Pacific which is equal to Business Class on any USA carrier in the continental US. It's not a criticism, just an observation.

Monday will be a busy day in New York. There are visitors from China that I need to meet and entertain. It is the last day of the Tibetan contemporary exhibition at the RMA, and, I also have a craving for Basta Pasta. The flight gets in early and I generally try and get a little sleep before going into the office. It will definitely be a long day.

LOST DOGS

If you're looking for a great read, be sure to check out The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption.

"Expanding on his Sports Illustrated cover story, Gorant (Fanatic) offers a chilling investigation into Michael Vick' s dog-fighting operation and the men and women who brought him to justice and rehabilitated the rescued dogs. Gorant outlines the rise of Bad Newz Kennels, describing in sometimes painful detail the abuse, torture, and execution of the animals--particularly disturbing is an episode in which Vick and a friend swing a failed fighting dog over their heads like a jump rope and kill it by repeatedly slamming it into the ground--and tracing the rescue of dozens of pit bulls seized from Vick' s property. Gorant outlines the efforts to save these animals from euthanasia, challenging the negative public perceptions of pit bulls and reporting back on the status of dogs like Sox (now a certified therapy dog), Zippy (adopted by a family of five), and Iggy (still shy but growing comfortable with his adopted circle of friends). At a time when Vick has returned to professional football and much of the public outcry about Bad Newz Kennels has been forgotten, this book provides a stark reminder about the horror and prevalence of dog fighting."

Refuge Field Paintings Anybody?

Check out the Himalayan Art Resources News Page. There are plenty of new items - provided you have a slightly unnatural, overly curious, interest in Refuge Field paintings. These paintings are informed by religious texts, liturgies to be specific, but, and it is a big but, how they appear as paintings is entirely the result of the artists interpretation. What we see as the finished composition does not at all necessarily reflect the description in the liturgical text. That is certainly one reason why these paintings are so interesting.

Home for the Holidays, Thanksgiving!

Once again heading West to sunny Vancouver for the holiday. During the 80s and 90s I generally spent Thanksgiving up in the Thompson Plateau enjoying the cabin and getting ready for winter. The best time of the year in the mountains is April thru June and then September and October. The summer months can be very hot and not conducive to meditating or translating. Mid November is the average point for the first real snow and then after that it can accumulate pretty quickly. I remember one night going to sleep with the outside temperature at 25 F and waking up in the morning thinking the door had somehow come open. The outside temperature was -5 F. A nasty cold front had come through and stayed. Although usually the weather turns cooler and the winds start to come from the North in mid October - watch out past mid November. Thanksgiving is guaranteed good weather - global warming considered of course.

I hope to head up to the cabin on Tuesday or Wednesday morning and spend at least one night with a roaring fire, a gently splashing creek and a big wide starry sky. With luck I will be woken in the night by the howling of wolves or coyotes, maybe the nocturnal visit of a bear foraging in the dark. The water will be cold, there are 11 crossings. At this time of the year some of those crossings are shallow and there are enough large dry rocks to jump onto and cross without getting wet. If it is raining on the way up it is better to stay in the water for the crossings and avoid the slippery rocks. The last crossing is the most treacherous because it is the narrowest and therefore potentially the deepest water. The path must be picked carefully. Past that point it doesn't get any easier as there have been serious rock slides in the last ten years. Steep rock faces on the Western side rise over a thousand feet. Twenty minutes past that and the trail becomes easier although seriously over grown, especially in the last 10 years. The cabin is not so far after that, but if you don't know where it is, it will be very difficult to find.

Yes I have used the Mountain Goat image once before. The first post ever for this Travel Blog was decorated with this photo. I like it, but no it was not taken at the cabin. The largest animal I photographed at the cabin was a female moose and boy was it big. Never get in the way of a moose. The Mountain Goat was photographed several hundred feet above the cabin. I was meditating in a cave when I chanced to look across the gorge and saw a Mountain Goat looking directly at me - probably wondering what the hell I was doing. Snap, I took the photo.

Life in a Plastic Bag

It is now seven months living out of plastic bags. With no end of the problem in sight.

All Good Things Must Come to an End

It has been some weeks since I was last bit by a bed bug. That has now ended. I was bit on the leg at approximately 5:30 this morning. It was the normal feeling. Waking up with a slight discomfort from a sound sleep which I had been enjoying for the last week or so since the flood, the discomfort grew. After a few minutes there was the tell tale raised red welt of irregular shape similar to hives. The honeymoon is over. This has been the longest period of time in the apartment this year, since the outbreak, without being attacked in the night. It must be three weeks since a real certifiable bite, but that doesn't mean the paranoia wasn't there, the sleeplessness and the lack of life quality. Bed bugs are a quality of life wrecker.
