A naked man was found dead and tied to a chair in an apartment building in Hollywood on Tuesday.
Police responded to the 1700 block of Cherokee Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. after the body was discovered.
Management had received complaints from tenants about a very loud television on the third floor that had been blaring for days. The victim, identified as a Latino man in his late 50s, was discovered when an apartment manager had an employee check on the noise.
The victim's name has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The official cause of death is unknown, but detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.
The apartment is a relatively small building, just east of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
